Use Hair Care Formulated for Your Hair
I find it so important to make sure that my haircare is formulated to my hair type. There are so many different formulas on the market but for good reason, everyone's hair is different and should be treated so. My hair is coloured, thick, and I have to use heating tools because of filming, so I lean towards hydrating and repairing formulas. That’s why I am so in love with Thanks To Nature, as they cover all my hair needs with their ‘Hydrate and Nourish’ and ‘Repair and Protect’ ranges. Depending on what my hair needs at the time, or the seasons, I will interchange between these 2 formulas.
I always double shampoo when I wash my hair, I love the way it leaves my hair super squeaky clean. Also, double shampooing means that you get further between washes, which is perfect for me and my busy schedule.
My ritual every Sunday before I start a big week is to do my weekly masques. I’ll first do my ‘Thanks To Nature’ hair masque whilst in the shower as it only takes two minutes. Currently I’m using the Hydrate and Nourish Masque because my hair has been feeling so dry from the cooler weather and it gives it the added moisture it is craving. After that, I’ll lie down on the couch with my Nature’s Way Beauty Collagen Mask. This is my ultimate self-care moment of the week.
I hate to admit it, but I only started using sunscreen every day in the last 5 years and I really wish I had done it sooner. Now, I don’t go a day without putting on sunscreen, even if I’m spending the day indoors. I make sure that my sunscreen is SPF 50+ and contains Zinc to combat the harsh UV rays in Australia.
No matter how tired I am or how much I cannot be bothered I will always make an effort to cleanse my face at the end of the day. Sometimes if I feel my skin needs it, or it's been a long day with makeup on and running around, I will double cleanse. I love how clean and smooth my face feels after.
