editor's letter: Issue #5

It's official – bubble turns one this month. As the leaves transform into an earthy brown and our fifth issue launches, we celebrate the first birthday of our magazine. And what a year it's been since its establishment.

I won't bother waffling on with a recap of the past year; I think we get it. We were all in it together! Instead, I'll tell you why I'm most excited for this issue:

In our autumn 2021 magazine, we review some of the best – and newest – eateries in Sydney's spectacular culinary scene; we shine a light on women in both business and the arts with their inspiring tales of resilience; we look at new, simple perspectives when it comes to dating; we share an education of other types of cultures and lifestyles that we can take on as a positive influence this autumn; and finally, we once again share the optimistic series of illustrations 'soul boners' – a collection of things to give your soul a boner (by Kate Neilson).

I hope our light-hearted, entertaining, whimsical autumn issue brings you joy on your lazy Sunday morning, your mid-week lunch break in the park, or even in a dreaded moment of procrastination.

I also want to thank you guys: our readers, our Instagram followers, our writers, our artists, the brands we have collaborated with, or even if you've just randomly stumbled upon here and never heard of us until now; thank you for your donation of time, interest and support. We can't wait to share what else we have in store for you guys in 2021.
